3D Model Converter

Convert 3D model files locally between compatible formats.

Convert models on your device. Model files are not uploaded to a server.

GLB, GLTF, OBJ, STL, PLY, FBX, DAE, VTK, AMF, 3MF · 25 MB · up to 1,000,000 triangles

GLB/GLTF support compatible materials and animations. OBJ/STL export geometry; PLY can retain vertex colors. USDZ exports a static scene and may change materials. External textures, MTL and BIN files are not supported: export a self-contained GLB first. Draco, KTX2, STEP/IGES CAD and .blend files are not supported. Mesh formats do not preserve editable CAD solids. Units, materials and animation may change: inspect the result before using it.

Convert a 3D mesh for a different application without uploading the model to a conversion server. Choose one supported file, select an output format and download the result. This beta tool reads GLB, GLTF, OBJ, STL, PLY, FBX, DAE, VTK, AMF and 3MF. It exports GLB, GLTF, OBJ, STL, PLY and USDZ.

Different model formats store different kinds of information. A successful conversion does not mean every material, animation, unit or feature was preserved. Use a self-contained GLB when possible, and inspect your output in the target application before printing, publishing or sharing it. External resource files and editable CAD solids are outside the current scope.

What you get

  • Local processing

Convert models on your device. Model files are not uploaded to a server.

  • Choose a suitable output

Use GLB or GLTF for compatible scene materials and animation, STL for mesh geometry, or PLY for compatible vertex colors. OBJ exports geometry; USDZ provides a static scene.

  • Try a sample first

A built-in tetrahedron lets you try conversion without selecting a personal file. The result shows mesh count, triangle count and output size.

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose a model

Select a supported file up to 25 MB, or use the sample model. Keep textures and buffers embedded.

  2. 2

    Select the output

Read the preservation limits before choosing GLB, GLTF, OBJ, STL, PLY or USDZ.

  3. 3

    Convert and inspect

Run the conversion, download the result and inspect its scale, appearance and geometry in your target application. Downloads use your normal Free or Pro quota.

Specifications

  • GLB/GLTF support compatible materials and animations.
  • This is a beta mesh converter. It does not repair meshes or certify that a model is suitable for 3D printing.
